Denture Adventure

Lonely since her husband’s death, Mrs. Wang spends her days searching for small bargains and treasures with a metal detector. One day on the beach, she discovers a set of mysterious gold teeth. She brings them home intending to sell them, but becomes strangely drawn to them—and instinctively places them in her own mouth and falls asleep wearing them. Next morning, she has been transformed into her 25-year-old self.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Azumi Hasegawa

Born in Tokyo, Azumi Hasegawa has lived in New York since 2004. She works as a freelance writer for publications including Vogue Japan, The Asahi Shimbun, Harper’s Bazaar Japan, and Figaro Japon. Alongside her writing, she is active in video production, directing campaigns and music videos. Her independent film works include PAN (2013), co-written with Motoko Fukuyama, and Come Back Lucky Cat (2019).
