Feature-film directorial debut by Nobutomo Naoko, who has made numerous TV documentaries based on her personal experiences, including her own struggles with breast cancer. The film patiently captures her 95-year-old father caring for her senile mother as seen from her perspective as their daughter.
The protagonist “I” (Nobutomo) found out she had breast cancer at the age of fourty-five and survived with help from her own mother, but she gradually notices changes happening in her mother. Her father says he will take on nursing duties and admonishes her to do her work, and then she decides to turn her camera on her parents. (Synopsis from Japanese Film Festival)
