My Sunshine
The commercial debut film directed, written, filmed and edited by Okuyama Hiroshi of Jesus fame. He was the youngest Japanese director ever selected for Un Certain Regard at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
Takuya (Koshiyama Keitatsu), a boy with a stutter, is fascinated by the sight of a girl called Sakura (Nakanishi Kiara), practicing figure skating to Debussy’s “Clair de Lune”. One day, Sakura’s coach Arakawa (Ikematsu Sôsuke) finds Takuya repeatedly falling down, while imitating the steps of a figure skater.
