Drama exploring the secret origin story behind Dazai Osamu’s best seller novel “No Longer Human,” helmed by photographer and Helter Skelter director Ninagawa Mika. Although his wife Michiko (Miyazawa Rie) is pregnant and they already have children together, brilliant novelist Dazai Osamu (Oguri Shun) repeatedly attempts suicide and rumors persist about his affairs. Only he can tell the story of “a man who fails at being human,” which he starts writing amidst his tumultuous life with his lover Shizuko (Sawajiri Erika), an aspiring writer, and his final lover Tomie (Nikaido Fumi).
