About the film festival
Far East Film Festival is the largest festival dedicated to popular Asian cinema in Europe. Over its 9 days, more than 60,000 film lovers gather in Udine, mostly from Italy, Austria and Slovenia, but also from other European countries and the United States. According to Variety, it is among the 50 ‘unmissable’ film festivals in the world. For Udine and the whole of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, it is a source of pride; for all its loving fans, it is home. This is the Far East Film Festival (FEFF for the aficionados, #FEFF on social media): a winning bet that, since 1998 (pilot edition), has slowly but surely established itself as a mainstay in Udine’s (and the region’s) cultural scenario. An exciting journey towards the Far East that every year, during its 9 nine days, transforms the city of Udine into an Oriental outpost.
